Obtaining category A / A 35 kW. and A1To drive motorcycles of
category A1, a learner's license of category A1 is required after completing the basic course PGS (12h).
If you hold a category B (car) driver's license, the license can be exchanged until you receive the A1 license with the rules of the learner's license. If you do not have a category B driver's license, you must take a practical driving test within the validity period of the learner's license.
To drive motorcycles of
category A35 (new A2), you must take a practical driving test within the validity period of the learner's license after completing the basic course PGS (12h).
To drive motorcycles of
category A (unrestricted), you must first drive a category A 35kW motorcycle limited to 35 kW for at least 2 years.
The upgrade to the unrestricted category requires an additional practical driving test.
Caution: Only 2 learner's licenses can be applied for, after that, a ban is to be expected!
